Welcome to my blog! This is the first time I’ve ever written anything in a blog and truth be said I don’t know much about how to go about it! The closest I ever got to a blog was watching ‘Julie and Julia’ and seeing the impact a blog could have! Who knows! Maybe my tiny little contribution could end up becoming something important in the virtual world!!!

I’d like to use this blog to get to know our clients who I also think of as friends a little better. I’m hoping that this will encourage more feedback and comments from our general public and that we can all get to know each other a little bit better.

I started in this business purely by accident. I’ve always enjoyed using the internet but I never had any idea that I’d start a business because I was an Insurance manager and underwriter by trade! However my love for fashion, the internet and a good challenge got the better of me and 10 years on we’re still here!

Some of our clients have been on our database since day one and we’re proud to be able to now call them our friends…

It’s funny how requests vary from country to country – region to region. Some brands are ‘hot’ in countries and not sought after at all in others!  The two brands that always seem to resist the test of time are Gucci and Balenciaga besides also being two brands that everyone seems to want!

The current economic crisis has meant that Italian wholesalers and boutiques who used to buy a large amount of surplus stock which we in turn used to offer to our clients is a situation that simply does not exist anymore. Nowadays boutiques buy just enough merchandise for their own use and very little else. This of course means that it is becoming harder and harder for us to be able to offer our clients the large variety of bags we used to in the past. Pre-ordering goods via the boutiques for forthcoming collections is nowadays the only way to be able to obtain exactly the quantity of merchandise one is interested in purchasing and also gives the opportunity to the client to be able to actually pick the models of interest. Most of our long standing clients use this method to be able to secure having enough stock to re-sell to their clients.

Besides loving handbags one of my weak spots has always been cosmetics and fragrances. My first stop whenever I travel is the duty free shops so that I can browse through the cosmetics section and… Unfortunately … also spend a small fortune there! For this reason we have decided to expand our range of offers to include cosmetics and fragrances and it really is so much fun also having all the new ranges to browse through and test!  We’re also now offering watches, jewellery and more sunglasses than ever to try and appeal to as many different requests as possible.

I will try and blog as often as possible to update everyone with our latest news and developments. Truth be said I hope our clients and friends will comment and write back to me and also ask me if they would like me to write about anything in particular. This was a nice way for me to start a grey Monday morning and I hope you enjoyed reading my little contribution as much as I enjoyed writing it….
